Muruguru Library Project
In Nyeri County, Kenya, only a hand full of public schools have the luxury of a library. We understand that merely having donated books, shelves and desks is not enough. Teachers and students often lack the knowledge and skills to organize and fully integrate their libraries so that they can become centers of literacy and learning.
In 2022, we started the Muruguru Library project, a library that serves the school and the surrounding community. The library once completed will have a state-of-the-art IT Hub for the students to use for their school research projects.
Our aim to build a culture of reading and literacy in rural Kenya as well as bringing the world into their villages through technology.
