FounderWhen a child is born into poverty, he/she has little control over their health, their education, and their quality of life. In many cases these children lack hope for the future because they live in a lie. The lie of poverty, that is reinforced day-in and day-out. The lie that whispers to them “You don’t matter. You’re worthless.”
Nancy Kibuthu is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and life coach. Business owner, not for profit founder and the author of the book Girl, Work That Magic. Her trove of accomplishments is as big as her heart. As a business owner, Nancy has been at the top of her field, going out of her way in helping the elderly live as comfortably and independently as possible through her agency – Humble Homecare Services LLC.
But Nancy has always wanted more.
She wanted to turn her passion for love, kindness, and compassion into a venture that would make the world a better place. So, she started The Dream Center Foundation in Nairobi, KE – a one- of-a-kind organization committed to breaking down barriers to learning for students living in poverty through partnerships and programs that serve the needs of the whole child.
Through the Dream Center Foundation, Nancy is showing the world that philanthropy and profit can go hand-in-hand.
Nancy’s love for children, humans, and the planet is palpable. She’s created a center, where those in need of rediscovering their dreams and purpose in life can find hope, inspiration and mentorship that will spur them into their future.
She also occasionally offers free meals to the homeless in communities around, and hosts “Mommy Girl talk days” at her residence, where pre-teens and teenage girls come for mentorship sessions aimed at helping them evolve from confusion and chaos of teenage hood to capable, strong, compassionate women?
Through her business and her charity organization, Nancy is bringing her sense of purpose and philanthropy to the rest of the world.
She lives in the United States, with her two children Nicole and Jesse
